CLEAR ALIGNERS Clear aligners are made either in our lab or at a commercial lab through the use of computer aided manufacturing.  They allow relatively minor tooth straightening to occur without braces.  Several advantages to this treatment are great esthetics (they are nearly invisible), the ability to brush and floss normally, and excellent comfort for both the lips and cheeks. While clear aligners are a high tech way of moving teeth, they are not as effective as traditional braces for many tooth movements.  This is because they are not truly attached to the teeth, but merely fit over the teeth.  A brace is actually a handle that can be moved in any direction with great precision and predictability.
